Sterigmatocystin toxicosis studied in rats

Abstract


Sterigmatocystin toxicosis in rats was found to produce necrosis and hepatocytomegaly in Iiverand alteration in the levels of transaminases, gamma glutamyl transferase and derangement in carbohydrate metabolism, The possible mode of action of sterigmatocystin might be due to neoplastic condition which is related to these biochemical changes.
