Influence of ground clearance on the forces on a three-dimensional bluff body

Abstract

The forces and moments on a three-dimentional bluff body with a square cross section and length-to-width ratio of four is presented  In this paper The Influence of the ground clearance between the body and the ground plane on the forces and moments is brought out at various angles of the results how that both gap and considerably change the acrodynamic forces and moments but the extent of their Influence on the varous forces and moments is not the same Flow visualization results are presented which offer tentative explanation to the observed features.
