Ecological studies on a desmid bloom

Abstract

The ecology of a uni-algae bloom of Cosmarium t'ariolatum Lund. var. rotundatum (Kreig.) Messik was studied in relation to certain physico-chemical and biochemical variables In evaluating the collective and individual influence of various chemical factors, a new approach has been followed by using multiple regression analysis. Simple correlation analysis between the physico-chemical parameters and algal number has also been made.
