THE SCATTERING OF LIGHT BY COLLOIDAL DYE SOLUTIONS

Abstract

An experimental study of the intensity and state of polarisation of the transversely scattered light in the case of some direct dye solutions of different dye and salt concentrations and at different temperatures, has been made. There from certain general conclusions regarding the shape, size and anisotropy of the dye micelles have been arrived at.
