POLAROGRAPHIC BEHAVIOUR OF CADMIUM, COPPER, LEAD, NICKEL, COBALT, ZINC AND IRON IN ETHANOLAMINES AND POTASSIUM SULPHATE OR NITRATE
Abstract
The polarographic behaviour of ethanolamine complexes of cobalt,nickel, zinc, cadmium, iron, lead and copper has been studied in presence of potassiuni sulphate or nitrate. Evidence is obtained for the formation of the following complexes:-
(1) Cd (Moen)3++ (2) Cd (Oien)3++ (3) Cd (Trien)2++
(4) Cu (Moen)3++ (5) Cu (Oien)3++ (6) Pb (Moen)2++
(7) Pb (Dien)2++ (8) Ni (Moen)3++ (9) Ni (Oien)3++
(10) Ni (Trien)2++ (11) Co (Dien)2++ (12) Co (Trien)2++
(13) Zn(Moen)3 ++ (14) Zn (Dien)3++ (15) Zn (Trien)3++.
In the above formulre Moen, Oien and Trien represent monoethanolaminc, diethanolamine, and triethanolamine respectively.
