Abstract

Reflection and absorption characteristies of a structure consisting of a two dimensional array of magnetic dipoles distributed over a plane metallic sheet have been studied at X-band as a function of the number and orientation of the dipoles and angles of incidence of the incoming wave. It is found that the structure behaves at an efficient absorber or reflector depending on the proper orrentation and distribution of the elements of the array.
