Abstract


The applicability of the concept of wave impedance for a dielectric rod supporting the HE 11 mode has been discussed. The input impedance for dielectric rods ofvarying length, diameter, and dielectric constant has been experimentally determined inboth the cases when the free end is fully exposed and covered with tin foil.
