Sliding-mode control of power converters

Abstract

The theory of variable structure systems [VSS] presents an elegant method to describe dc-to-dc power converters. An analysis method of control systems with sliding mode, the equivalent control method-provides a simple analysis tool to obtain equivalent continuous system representation of such time-varying systems. In this paperpower converters are explored in the light these concepts to arrive at large- and small-signal models. Experimental results are then presented verifying these concepts.
