PROPAGATION OF MICROWAVE THROUGH CYLINDRICAL METALLIC GUIDE FILLED COAXIALLY WITH TWO DIFFERENT DIELECTRICS

Abstract


The field components E's and H's for the hybrid mode EH<sub>mn</sub> or HE<sub>mn</sub>in a cylindrical metallic guide filled completely with two coaxial dielectrics have been theoretically determined. By utilising the boundary conditions,the propagation characteristics of the EH<sub>mn</sub> mode have been deduced.Losses suffered by the wave and hence the attenuation constant have also been calculated.
