SWITCHING TRANSIENTS IN THREE-PHASE INDUCTION MOTORS RUN ON SINGLE PHASE SUPLY
Abstract
The switching of transistsin a polyphase induction motors and syncronous mechines has been studied in a great detail by several investgators in the past,but no published factul data exist dealing with the analysis of problem of swiching transist in a3phase induction motors run as a capasitor motor on a single phase supply. this particular problem has studied in the paper in detail by applying the laplase transform in a slightly modified form.
It is shown that the devloped eletrical torque and the voltage across the condencer donot exibit any abnormal values during the first few cycles after closing of the switch,weather switching is done at the maximum value or zero value of the applied voltage .this result in astriking contrast with the result obtained earliar with the plain genaral purpose capasitor Motor
