STUDY OF THE SURFACE WAVE AND RADIATION CHARACTERISTICS OF CYLINDRICAL METALLIC CORRUGATED STRUCTURES
Abstract
Surface wave characteristics like the guide wavelength, radial field decay and radiation characteristics of a corrugated circular cylindrical metal rod are verified experimentally. A comparative study of the surface wave characteristics of the corrugated line, Sommerfeld surface wave line Harms-Goubau line reveal that corrugated structure compare-favourably with the Harms Goubau line and is superior to Sommerfeld line.
