PROBES FOR FIELD MAPPING BY ELECTROLYTIC TANK ANALOGUE-A COMPARISON OF DIFFERENT PROBE DESIGNS
Abstract
This paper makes a comparison of different types of probes designed forfield mapping by electrolytic tank analogue technique. Both single probes usedin potential measurement and double probes used in gradient measurements havebeen studied. It has been found that surface needle ',lobe which avoids themeniscus effect compares best for mapping of potentials. Surface liquid probegives better accuracy for mapping equi-gradient lines.
