CIRCULAR INHOMOGENEITY IN AN INFINITE STRIP.

Abstract

Stress field due to circular inhomogeneity in an infinite strip has beeninvestigated in this paper. Stresses which are given in terms of infinite integralshave been calculated numerically for some particular cases. When the ratio ofthe radius of circular inclusion to the semi-width of the strip is, the stressdistribution at the equilibrium boundary in the strip is approximately the same asthe stress distribution due to circular inclusion in the infinite medium.
