Novel targets for antimalarial drug development

Abstract

Heme as well as protien biosynthetic pathways of malaria parasite Plasmodium faloparum have been identified by us as crucial for the survival of the paraslte Intervention of either of the two pathways results in the death of the parasite, basically due to the pivotal role played by heme in these pathways.
