VAPOUR-LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM DATA OF BENZENE -n- HEPTANE -n- BUTANOL SYSTEM.
Abstract
Vapour-liquid equilibrium data of benzene-n- heptane-n-butanol system have been reported. The thermodynamic consistency of the system was tested with Li-Lu test and the data were correlated with Wohl's three suffix Marguies equation.Vapour-liquid equilibrium data of this system are not available in the literature. The system has been studied to find the effect of a third component i.e., benzene on the binary azeotrope i.e., n-heptane- n-butanol. The system has been studied under isobaric condition at 685 mm of Hg pressure.
