A NOTE ON ELASTIC IMPACT TIME DETERMINATION

Abstract


This note is intended to present an approximate method of determining direct impact time between two elastic bodies. The steps involved in impact time determination are given and the accuracy of the method is based on comparison with results of the rigorous theory or experiment is illustrated. The scope of the method is also discussed.
