Linguistic distribution of stuttering and stuttering types
Abstract
An analysis of the linguistic distribution of stuttering and stuttering types was under taken in monolingual and bilingual stutterers. The results indicated that the loci of repetitions and prolongations in a phonemic clause depended on the word position in a phonemic clause and also on the nature of words themselves. Another significant result of this study was that the distribution of stuttering in a phonemic clause was different in the two languages analyzed here—English and Kannada.
