CHANGES IN CARBOHYDRATE METABOLISM DURING PATULIN TOXICOS IS STUDIED IN CHICKS
Abstract
The mycotoxin patulin is found to interfere with the accarbohydrate metabolism. Enhanced glycogenolysis, depletion of glycogen, decrease in rate of glycolysis, activation of HMP pathway and increased gluconeogenesis have been observed during patulin toxicosis.
Keywords
Mycotoxin; patulin.
