STUDIES IN MASS TRANSFER IN A PULSED BUBBLE COLUMN
Abstract
Experimental work conducted establishes the influence of pulsations on mass transfer. Effects of amplitudes and frequencies of pulsations at three liquid bed heights on the rate of mass transfer are masa Pulsations above the frequencies 200 cis show a maximum forty per cent improvement in the mass transfer rate. The vibrational acceleration, provided to the system, has no effect on the absorption rate. The earlier work reported in the literature on this subject is discussed briefly.
Keywords
