THE BAND-PASS DISTRIBUTED AMPLIFIER

Abstract


General expressions have been obtained for the gain of a simple distributed amplifier with any number of tubes joined by identical reactive symmetrical filter sections, with or without unsymmetrical terminating sections at the ends of the filter chains. These results may be applied to the band-pass as well as to the low-pass distributed amplifier. It is shown that reduction of band-edg  peaks is much more difficult of accomplishment in the band-pass case  Some considerations regarding the choice of the most suitable filter network in the band-pass case are given, as well as experimental results.
