Freshwater rotifers (Rotifera: Eurotatoria) from some domestic wells in West Bengal, India

Abstract


Rotifer communities of 25 domestic wells in South 24-Parganas District, West Bengal, are made up of nine species belonging to six genera and five families. Comments are made on their species composition. The present report of Myulina bisulcata from these pristine environs is considered to be of special ecological interest.
