Synthesis of graphite hydrofluoride by hydrofluorination of graphite at room temperature
Abstract
Madagascar natural graphite, when treated with pyridinium poly(hydrogen fluondel in the presence of a metal fluoride catalyst at room temperature, yields a grey hydrofluorinated product in about 10 days. The product, graphite hydrofluoride, has been characterised by IR, XRD, SEM and conductiVity measurements.
Keywords
