A parallel fast convolver for computer vision

Abstract


We report here the design and fabrication of a fast convolver board. compatible with the I/O slots of the PC/AT, for the basic mathematical operation of 2-dimensional convolution of images. Extension of the hardware design to perform convolution in parallel is described. The basic hardware is designed and fabricated using locally available components.
