Design, programming environment and applications of a simple low-cost message-passing multicomputer

Abstract


A parallel computer with hypercube topology, constructed with 16 Intel 80386ATZ motherboards. is described. They are interconnected using hi-directional full-duplex first-in first-out byte-wide links. The hardware. system software and application programming methodologies are given. Example programs are listed and explained.
