A novel methodology for multiistate optical storage

Abstract


A novel muitistate storage methodology suitable for 'Read only' type optical memories is proposed and demonstrated using a simple microstructural design for PbTe thin films. This approach facilitates enhanced storage capacity through mutivalued logic. The PbTe films are found to exhibit four different optical states.
