Tryptopban-phenyl pyruvate aminotransferase of Agrobacterium tumefaciens: Purification and general properties of the enzyme
Abstract
Evidence has been presented to show that the first step in the conversion of tryptophan to indole acetic acid by Agrobacterium tumefacieus involves transamination. The properties of a 58-fold purified type phan-phcnyjpyruvate amino transferase preparation with respect to specificity, optimum pH, temperature and protection against thermal denaturation by substrates have been studied.
Keywords
Aminotransferase; transamination; plant tumours.
