Cycloalkyl aryl amino acids in spectrophotometric determination of copper
Abstract
Two new reagents, namely I-p-toluidino cyc1ohexane-l-carboxylic acid and I-p-chloroanilino-cyclopentane-lcarboxylic acid have been used as spectrophotometric reagents for the determination of Cu(U). With both the reagents, eu(H) forms 1:2 complexes. Values of log IJ were found to be 8.81 and 9.41 and the free energy of formation as -50.63 and -54.06 K. Joules/mole, respectively.
Keywords
Cycloalkyl aryl amino acids; copper determination; spectrophotometry.
