Studies on chelation reaction of cyclophosphamide (CPM), a valuable anti-cancer drug with carcinogenic metal ions Cu(II) and Co(II)
Abstract
The chelation reaction cyclophosphamide (CPM),an anti-cancer biological alkylating agent of nitrogen mustard group with Cu(l1) and Co(ll), has been investigated potentiometrically. The stability constrants have been reported at temperatures 21°C and 41°C +/1 1°C and u=0.05M 0.10M and 0.2OM (KNO3) 1.1 stoichiometry of metal liand interaction has been confirmed by conductometry. Negative values of G and positive values of S indicate stable complex formation.
Keywords
Cyclophosphamide; anti-cancer drug; carcinogenic metal ions Cu(ll) and Co(ll); stability constant.
