ULTRASONIC VELOCITIES IN BINARY LIQUID MIXTURES NEAR THEIR CRITICAL SOLUTION TEMPERATURE
Abstract
An investigation has been made of the variation of ultrosonic velocities and adiabatic compressibilities with temperature near the critical soluton temperature of 3 binary liquid systems, viz., water -iso-butyric acid,phenol-water and aniline-cyclohexane. No anolomous change could be observed. Both velacity and adiabitic compressibility show a lenier variation with temperature.Possible explanation for this behaviour is discussed.
