Abstract


Data are presented for the leaf consumption, digestion and increase in weight of larvre reared on untreated mulberry leaves and leaves supplemented with chloromycelin. It is found that chloromycetin increases the fced utilisation of the silkworm. The possible role of chloromycetin in the feed efficiency of the silkworm is discussed in the light of the above findings.
