THE OSCILLATIONS OF A SPHEROID ALONG ITS AXIS IN MICROPOLAR FLUID
Abstract
The present paper investigates the nature of the flow field when a spheroid is supended in a infinitely extending micropolar fluid. This is a sequel to our earlier paper on a similar motion in an elastico-viscous fiuid and was undertaken with a view to studying the effect of micro rotation on the flow field and to compare The flow behaviour of the above two fluids. The particular case of a sphere is studied in detail.
