Different methods to follow protein-protein contacts in a multi-subunit system
Abstract
Protein-protein interactions among nearest neighbours or between two distant proteins play major role In the development and spatiation of an organism. To understand the basic rules that govern these interactions various physlcal approaches
are taken whlch are inadequate to describe the in-vivo situation. Generation of a phenotypic mutation in a protien and then looking for it's suppressor may allow to map the interacting partners without perturbing the system very much from it's original phenotype. This review aims to list various such studies and addresses the future course that can be persued.
