SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION FROM STEP RESPONSE

Abstract

Identification of systems is very essential in order to be able to provide necessary corrective measures to improve the overall system performance. A simple technique of approximating a given system from its step response is furnished in this paper. The method employed in this technique is based on some of the distinguishing features which could be noted in the step responses.
