Abstract

Evpaoration of water from pools into quiescent air occurs in many situations The rate of evaporation in such cases is usually calculated using an empirical formula suggested by Carrier. In view of its importance, a closer look at this process Q simultaneous heat and Rlass transfer in both lanzinar and turbulent free convection indicated. This paper presents a correlation based on experiments for evaporating, in larnzinar free convective flow.
