Spectrophotometric determination of platinum with iodide and rhodamine B

Abstract


A simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of  platinum based on the ternary ion association complex with iodide and rhodamine B. The method  is very sensitive (Ccos= 1.2 x 10^ 5  | mole^-1  cm^-1) and rapid. Interferences by various cations and  anions have been evaluated .
