Abstract


The colour fading action of phosphate on coloured complexes of uranium(VI) and iron(111) With salieylaldoxime (SAO). 2-hydroxy-l-naphthaldoxime (OHNAO), peonol-oximc (MRPO) and 2-hydroxy-5-nrthyl propiophenone oxime (HMPDX) is utilised for the determination of phosphate in microgram quvitities. 'The method is applied for the determination of phosphate percentage in various NPK fertilizers. The effect of various foreign ions is also studied.
