New indole oxygenase from the leaves of Tecoma stans L. Part II: Immunological ·characterization

Abstract

Antibodies raised against indole oxygenase from the leaves of Tecoma stans dld not cross react with indole oxygenase from Jasminum grandlflorum. Tecoma indole oxygenase-IgG immunoprecipitate has retained 90% of the original actlvity. The Km and V ntIU" of indole oxygenase in the immuno complex were comparable to those of the free enzyme. The enzyme was protected against heat inactivation by antibodies in the immunoprecipitate.
