Fractals and differential equations of fractional order
Abstract
In this review, we consider the applications of fractional calculus to fractals. Some occurrences and applications of fractals are listed. We also give selected definiuons diffractional derivatives and integrals. The review concentrates on works specifically applying fractional differential equations to fractals. These include diffusion on fractals, Levy processes, contiouous time random walks, etc. We also consider the recent notion of local fractional derivative and local fractional analog of Fokker-Planek equation.
