Molecular gases as Brillouin media for optical phase conjugation: An experimental investigation
Abstract
Optical phase conjugation (OPC) studies. In molecular gases by stimulated Brilouin scattering (SBS) have been earned out. In the first part the role played by various material parameters, in enhancing the Brilloum gains have been studied in four different molecular gases. The dependence of the matenal parameters on gas pressure and the overall gain of the medium have been investigated, and the intensity dependence of OPC-SBS studied. In the second part, the dependence of efficiency and phase conjugate fidelity on interaction, coherence and acoustic lengths has been investigated.
Keywords
Phase conjugation; stimulated Brillouin scattering; molecular gases; time scales.
